REMOVAL OF WILLOW FROM OUR BREEDING PROGRAM

Willow had to be removed from our breeding program because of minor health problems.

Willow is an exceptional dog, both temperament and drive wise. Her conformation leaves room for improvement but she has very good qualities that would have made her a good foundation bitch.

Since her very first season, Willow has vaginal infections as well as split-heats. This could cause complications during Breeding and/or whelping. Both on Willow and the health of her puppies. The first infections were resolved with veterinary help and medications.

That is why, we made the decision, Ridishia Ridgebacks and I to remove Willow from any breeding program. With a heavy heart I asked permission to keep her intact to continue to present her in canine conformation. Willow is my first Ridgeback. She taught me a lot about the breed and dog breeding. I could not bring myself to leave her away from the competition but I promised myself to cure her problems so it would not cause more harm to her health by keeping her intact.

Being turned towards the powers of nature, I therefore dealt with an animal naturopath; Jeannie Thomason to cure the problem from the chore since Willow will remain intact until older age. This great soul took the time to make a consultation via email with me. She explained to me the basics of animals and their ancestors and she also explained to me the positive effects that nature can have on our animals. I already had a good idea but its refreshment was only beneficial! It was thereafter that we put Willow through a detox to restore her entire organism. A very strict diet and natural species-approprite antidotes to rebalance her whole body!

Since then Willow had 1 season. This is the first time in almost 4 years that Willow has had a normal heat, meaning it was not a split-heat! The infection came back but it lasted only 2 days and could be cured completely with natural remedies!

It shows that her body will stabilized over time. Mrs. Thomason's advice continues to be followed to ensure a healthier life for Willow, until the older days.

Who knows, Willow may end her retirement days without infections!
We cross our fingers and continue to believe in the extraordinary power of nature!

Thank you Jeannie Thomason for the tremendous help you have given us and a special thanks to Ridishia Ridgebacks for allowing me to keep Willow intact until she is older.
